Pre-employment questionnaires: employer survey

Medical history form

The Equality Act will make it unlawful to ask job applicants general questions about their health or a disability prior to making a job offer.  EFD welcomes this change, because we know from our members that pre-employment questionnaires are often a waste of time and money, as they are not a good indicator of future sick leave patterns. EFD members can get exclusive, expert advice on this topic here.

Is your employer ready for this change to the law? The questions take only a few moments to answer, and will help us provide the right support to employers as they prepare for this new law.

Redundancy cover

Making redundancies is never desirable or easy, but if those affected have a disability the legal pitfalls for HR are even greater. EFD's Briefing on managing redundancy, part of a set of expert guidance, is a practical guide to managing redundancy. It provides employers specific guidance on topics related to this sensitive issue.
