Often referred to as “The Ability Guy”, Roger B. Jones, President and CEO of World Accessibility, is a consultant, trainer, facilitator and professional speaker. He has been a prominent Canadian voice on disability and diversity issues for 25 years.

Since becoming a quadriplegic in 1985, his goal has been to address conceptual and marketplace constraints to accessibility and inclusion.

Roger has been a proponent of market-led solutions, drawing attention to the untapped potential of the "Ability Market".

A self-proclaimed social entrepreneur, Roger has established working and partnering relationships with industry, local government and world leaders. At a presentation in Puerto Rico, Dr. Deepak Chopra, said, "Everybody should have the tools that World Accessibility has created".

Roger was a facilitator for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics, helping to bridge the gap between persons with disabilities and the Olympic family. He was the catalyst for the international award-winning documentary Access Challenge, and is featured in a training video for the Social Solutions program at The Pacific Institute in Seattle, Washington.

Roger is part of the Canadian Government’s Ministers Advisory Committee on Accessible Transportation, and has sat on numerous boards including ; Plan Institute, Vancouver/Los Angeles Sister Cities Society, Douglas College and Rick Hansen Solutions Team.

In 1999, Roger established the Susan Marshall Fighting Spirit Award in memory of his good friend who died from the complications of a spinal cord injury. The Canadian Paraplegic Association Foundation now presents a Fighting Spirit Award annually. Listed in Who's Who in Black Canada, Roger continues to act as a champion of rights and access for all.
