Paying your bills
Sponsored by British Gas
'Paying your bills' is a user-friendly guide designed to help people with a learning disability avoid debt. The booklet presents the basics of paying bills and managing the money to do so. It includes information on the different types of bill and the various means to pay them, as well as a simple to use glossary of useful words and step-by-step advice on what to do if you can't pay your bill.
The guide will not only make it easier for people with a learning disability to understand and pay their bills, but its easy-to-read format will also be of use to a far wider audience including people whose first language isn't English, people with eyesight problems and young people paying bills for the first time, helping to make British Gas accessible for all its customers.
