S4C

S4C is a public service broadcaster (PSB) providing a range of high quality Welsh language programmes on television and online,and available to view in Wales and throughout U.K.

We hold the two tick disability symbol awarded by the Employment Service and we are committed to achieving this award on an annual basis.

  • Our Commitment: We will publish a Disability Equality Scheme every three years and an Action Plan in relation to Disability Equality annually.
  • Recruitment: We will interview all applicants with a disability who meet the minimum criteria for a vacancy and consider them on their abilities.
  • In Employment : We will ensure there is a mechanism in place to discuss, at any time, but at least once year, with disabled employees, what we and they can do to make sure they develop and use their abilities. We will make every effort when an employee becomes disabled to make sure they stay in employment.
  • On screen: We will promote a positive image of persons with disability and will publish in our annual Programme Policy Statement.our initiatives to ensure the presence of disabled people on screen.
  • Accessibility: We are committed to ensuring that disabled people can easily access all of our services. We will meet Ofcom's targets for subtitling, audio description and signing during all S4C hours. We will ensure that all our subtitles are easily accessible on the following platforms:Sky, Freeview, Virgin Media Cable, and on-line.
  • Feedback: We will consult with disabled people to receive their feedback on all our services.
