Charity scheme aims to inspire potential disabled employees
30th July 2010

A charity scheme is hoping to inspire potential disabled employees through a new project.
Hertfordshire PASS is running a six-week job forum to help people gain more of an understanding of the media industry, the St Albans and Harpenden Review reports.
The organisation hopes to improve disability confidence among those who partake in the project, which includes 21-year-old Robbie Williams, from St Albans, who said: "The job forum is interesting and fun."
Support co-ordinator for the charity Katie Fraser noted the aim of the initiative is to help users to realise that creative media such as singing, writing and theatre can all be used within the workplace.
She added: "We have also invited people both with and without disabilities to share their work stories."
Elsewhere, Project Search - a scheme in Norfolk that operates in conjunction with the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital - could help disability employees after it urged businesses to take on interns with learning difficulties.
