Short film to promote social inclusion for people with mental health conditions?
16th July 2010

Mind Cymru, in association with the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), has released a short film aimed at improving social inclusion for people with mental health conditions.
The organisation has used the screening to promote the implementation of mental health policies and guidelines for staff dealing with such instances.
Material - such as the movie, supporting documents and a case study - has been made available to help employers construct a suitable policy and to highlight the need for such a move as part of the Mental Health is Your Business Campaign.
Training in mental health first aid can also be arranged for people who require it.
The EHRC has released figures which suggest one in six members of any given workforce could be affected by a mental health condition.
It also revealed that "most people" with such a condition are in paid employment and as such, bosses should be prepared to deal with the fact that their workers could need their help.
