Disability Awareness Day offers employment exhibitions
7th July 2009

Employment workshops accompany a range of activities and facilities provided as part of this year's Northwest Disability Awareness Day on Sunday July 12th, it has been revealed.
More than 100 charities and 300 exhibitors will attend the occasion, providing information and services for a predicted 25,000 visitors.
The Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) will be the main sponsor of the event and NWDA chief executive Steven Broomhead remarked that the exhibition has greatly promoted the skills and talent of disabled individuals in the region.
He said: "The NWDA continues to work hard to ensure people across all communities have access to the facilities and infrastructure that contribute to a successful regional economy and enjoy a good quality of life."
Free bus services and Park & Ride amenities are to be implemented to help support an environment of inclusion for the event.
There will also be a number of interpreters and wheelchair and scooter loan services.
In recent news, the organisation revealed its new board members for its Ethnic Minority Business Forum North West, which was set up to drive forward policy developments in the region.
