EFD welcomes expertise and experience of two new board members

Employers’ Forum on Disability (EFD) today (3 June) welcomes two new board members, Stephen Duckworth and Guy Davies. Both experienced experts in disability and diversity, they work at a national and international level with governments, business and other key stakeholders.
EFD’s Chief executive Susan Scott-Parker said: “We are delighted to welcome Stephen and Guy to our board. They each bring significant expertise that will help strengthen EFD’s governance. Stephen and Guy’s talents and experience will help us continue to set the standard for good practice on disability confidence.”
Stephen Duckworth OBE is Founder and Chief Executive of Disability Matters Ltd, a world class company promoting diversity and equality. His extensive experience includes working with UK and international governments and FTSE company boards. He is also a Board Member of the Olympic Delivery Authority (2006) with lead responsibility for equality and diversity during the construction (£9.3Bn), games and legacy.
For 10 years, Guy Davies farmed in England, consulted across Europe, and set up HorseHage Marketing, a highly successful international horse-feed sales & marketing company.
In 1995 he moved to South Africa and set up export company 19°East. After becoming a paraplegic in 1999, he was immediately aware of the limitations of disability access. In 2003 he formed Disability Solutions, a South African not-for-profit company dedicated to the integration of disability into society.
