EFD reaction to appointment of Peter Hain as Work and Pensions Secretary

Commenting on the appointment today (Thursday) of Peter Hain as Work and Pensions Secretary, EFD's chief executive, Susan Scott-Parker, said:"Peter Hain has long been committed to fighting for equality and justice. I would like to congratulate him on his appointment and look forward to continuing our strong working relationship with the Department for Work and Pensions on the welfare reform agenda. I hope that Peter Hain will maintain the dialogue with EFD members on their role in achieving equality of opportunity for disabled people."
