The EU e-Accessibility forum, due to take place on 29 January is to be addressed by Graeme Whippy, IT Accessibility senior manager at Lloyds TSB, a gold member of Employers' Forum on Disability.
The EU e-Accessibility forum will encourage best practice across Europe, and Graeme will be giving a presentation called Accessible Banking on the Internet.
The presentation will focus on the challenge of implementing accessible authentication mechanisms.
Graeme says: "The e-Accessibility forum is a demonstration of the EU's commitment to improving IT accessibility across Europe.
"It's therefore really important for UK businesses to understand how the EU will be tackling the challenge of IT accessibility and ensuring that we are in a position influence the EU's approach to standards and legislation.
"At Lloyds TSB we have excellent experience in turning IT accessibility policy into practice and we are very keen to share this with representatives from other European countries.
"By working together we have the opportunity to change the approach to IT accessibility not just in Europe but across the world."

The e-Accessibility forum
The e-Accessibility forum has arisen from the June 2006 Ministerial Declaration in Riga which committed the EU to being "an inclusive and barrier-free information society".
There is now a pan-European drive to improve ‘e-Accessibility' and ‘e-Inclusion' with specific goals such as:
a. Embed accessibility into mainstream ICT
b. Make recommendations on accessibility standards and common approaches.
c. Assess the necessity for legislative measures in the field of e-Accessibility.
The conference topics include:
Universal design and the impact of Web 2.0 and rich Internet applications.
e-Accessibility in information (mobile information systems, the press, search engines).
e-Accessibility in employment (recruitment and retention of disabled staff).
e-Accessibility on a European scale (the challenge, harmonisation and the European Accessibility Label).
