Ernst & Young furthers its commitment to disability equality

Ernst & Young logoErnst & Young have become the latest organisation to join the Employers' Forum on Disability (EFD) gold group.

One of the largest professional services firms in the UK, Ernst & Young has been a member of EFD since January 2006. As a gold member Ernst & Young will become a valued partner in EFD's mission to promote the economic and social inclusion of disabled people and demonstrate that organisations which are positive about disabled employees and staff gain business benefits.

The support from the gold group is vital for EFD in sustaining its reputation as an organisation that inspires and challenges employers, while helping business forge productive relationships with disabled individuals, opinion formers, government and the wider community.

Ernst & Young are now one of 51 organisations demonstrating their commitment to getting it right on disability.

Matthew Thomas, Head of the Disability Working Forum for Ernst & Young, said: "Ernst & Young's decision to become a gold member of EFD, reflects the progress we have made with our disability agenda and the importance we place on supporting the work of the organisation. By becoming a gold member, the firm is looking forward to utilising top-level advice, accessing EFD's enabling tools, making the most of opportunities to influence policy and taking part in EFD's Disability Standard."

Susan Scott-Parker, chief executive of EFD said: "Ernst & Young clearly take disability equality seriously at the highest level. We look forward to a sustained and productive relationship for many years to come."
