EFD board expands with B&Q addition
14th November 2007
Employers' Forum on Disability (EFD) has announced a new addition to its board.
Jo Kenrick is marketing and customer proposition director at B&Q, which she joined in February 2006.
Before joining B&Q she was marketing director of the National Lottery for three and a half years. Prior to that she held various sales and marketing positions with Masterfoods, Walkers, Snackfoods, Asda, Woolworths and the house builders Wilson Connolly.
In her current role she has responsibility for Customer Insight, Proposition Development, Format Development, Communications, PR, CSR, Multi-Channel development and DIY.com, and the management and development of B&Q's own and exclusive brands.
Jo Kenrick says: "I was delighted and flattered to be offered the chance to join the Board of EFD and I'm looking forward very much to working with the team.
"With B&Q's heritage of employing older workers it is the age related disabilities which many people develop which are especially relevant to B&Q, and this represents a real area of potential for us both as an employer and as a commercial business serving diverse customers.
"This is also underpinned by our history of working closely with EFD on many disability-related areas. B&Q wholeheartedly supports and endorses the work of EFD and this is a fascinating opportunity to be able to be involved with such a unique organisation."
Susan Scott-Parker, chief executive of EFD says: "We are extremely pleased that Jo has joined our board.
"She brings with her a high level of experience and we look forward to working with her in the future."
