Unique website builds business case for disability confidence
29th June 2006
A unique website, which will make it easier for organisations to get it right on disability, is set to be launched by Employers' Forum on Disability (EFD).
http://www.realising-potential.org/, developed with the help of Lehman Brothers, will be officially launched on 05 July at an event at the Museum of Garden History in London. Speakers at the event will include Rt Hon John Hutton MP, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, and Nicola Smith, the new Disability Tsar at the Department of Health.
Aimed at senior business decision makers and disability champions, the ‘Realising potential' website provides the tools needed to build a business case for employing disabled people and serving disabled customers.
Research and innovations manager at Employers' Forum on Disability, Rhiannon Suter, says: "The website will provide the information decision makers need to profit from the disability dimension of key business trends."
The ‘Realising potential' website accompanies the publication of the same name which was produced with the help of InterContinental Hotels Group and is currently on sale.
It is hoped that the website will be added to on a regular basis, and will build according to the experiences and feedback of companies using it.
