Search for Actress for short film

Indpendent Production company Brooks Lapping is looking for an actor, female, in her 20s with Down's syndrome. As they will be filming the drama in one day at a London location, a London based actor would be preferable if possible.

The shoot date will be either November 17th or 18th.

This drama is one of two being produced for SCTV. Both are based around health scenarios involving the Mental Capacity Act and are aimed at social care professionals to train them in their understanding of the Act and how it applies in certain situations. They are for web only.

This subject matter of the film involves a scenario in which Lucy, a young woman in her 20s with Down's syndrome has been bitten by a dog and needs a tetanus injection. She is reluctant to have it, has a history of disliking hospitals and being scared of injections. The decision to go ahead has to be made in her best interests by her mother in conjunction with the nurse on duty.
