ITV search for Deaf Actress
11th June 2010

The Oaks are currently casting for an ITV Drama and are desperately seeking a deaf actress for one of the leading roles.
The character 'Olive' is seen at two ages - around 28 and then at around 50. We are looking for an actress to play the role of Olive at around 50.
We need to ensure that at both ages Olive looks like the same person - therefore we have someone specific in mind - we are looking for someone who is slender and about 5'5'' who is attractive, with light blue eyes.
The character's native language is BSL, but when she's with hearing people she feels comfortable around she uses English and has quite a lot of dialogue.
The Oaks have done an impressive search but have not had much response or not found an Actress to fit the bill.
Please help! We are all working to ensure authentic portrayal onscreen - we really want this character to be cast by a deaf actress so any contacts you have let them know asap!
They can get in touch with me, or Andy from The Oaks directly on andy@andypryor.co.uk or 020 7836 8298
