BBC Disability Scheme, EXTEND, UK-wide
27th January 2009

Exclusively for disabled people, Extend is a BBC-wide work placement scheme which offers appropriately experienced and/or qualified disabled people a great opportunity to gain six months' paid work experience within the BBC.
Although the scheme doesn't necessarily lead to a full-time job, last year more than half its intake gained further work at the BBC.
Starting from May 2009, over 20 placements will be available across the UK, in both programming and programme support areas. You'll need to match the criteria for the placement as well as demonstrate a keen interest in broadcasting and knowledge of BBC output.
Applications to be received by 5 February. Interviews are expected to be held between 9 and 27 March.
