BCIDN staff and associates
BCIDN has three staff and a small group of Associates – disabled people with considerable media experience, especially in broadcasting. Their role is to help the Network (and the creative and broadcasting industry) through their knowledge and understanding of both disability and the industry. Associates have a range of experience of different types of jobs in the industry and different impairments.

Oona King
BCIDN Chair, Channel 4 Television
Oona King is Head of Diversity at Channel 4 (March 2009 - present). Before taking this position Oona was Senior Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister on Equalities, Diversity and Faith at 10 Downing Street. She is also a broadcaster, writer, and political campaigner. read more
Clare Morrow
BCIDN Network Manager
I have been Manager of the BCIDN since October 2007. I spent more than twenty years working in news and programme production in ITV and the BBC, both for radio and television. My previous job was as Controller of News and Programmes at ITV Yorkshire, where I had worked for fifteen years. I left ITV in March 2007, although I continue to work for the channel as a freelance executive producer. read more

I work part-time for BCIDN and mainly from home, where I combine my role with caring for my two young children. Previously to my current role, I worked as a Project Manager for ITV's Interactive TV department and in the Press Office for Carlton Television. read more

I am Age & Disability Correspondent for BBC News. I cover issues of relevance to older and disabled people for radio, television and the BBC News website. I'm also chairman of the BBC's Disabled Staff Forum. read more
Max Burt

I spent many years working in mainstream advertising agencies. During some fifteen years, I was awarded every major honour and ended up running a multi-national network. After a life threatening road accident eight years ago, I now run Good with my business partner.

I've worked for ITV in the Midlands for 21 years, mainly as a producer and executive producer, responsible for a wide range of regional programming including live political debates, social action magazine programmes and documentaries. I have also produced and presented a series of special documentaries for the BBC's Disability series One In Four, and worked for a time as a consultant/producer on Channel 4's daytime political programme, Powerhouse. read more

I've had a long career in TV, producing a large range of documentary programmes across all the major channels, with particular emphasis on health and disability. Wheelchair using actress, Kim Tserkezie, is best known for her role as Penny Pocket in the BAFTA award winning children's show 'Balamory' (BBC/Cbeebies). 'Balamory' has provided her with screen exposure internationally, including USA and a theatrical platform on many of the UK's leading theatres and arenas. read more

I spent many years working in independent TV production as a production manager, then freelance producer, on a variety of studio and documentary productions.
