Employers have a legal duty to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people. Making adjustments is a way of creating a level playing field for disabled people, enabling them to work on equal terms and have access to the same opportunities for employment and career development as non-disabled people.

Reasonable adjustments are about more than ramps and lifts. Non-visible conditions such as cancer, mental health and dyslexia also require adjustments that can be harder to identify and implement than changes to the physical environment.
