Launch: Recruitment Protocol
20th October 2011, 8:30am - 10:00, Mayer Brown, London
- Do you use recruitment agencies?
- Do you feel confident that they understand disability and offer a fair and legal service to disabled people?
- Would you feel reassured if you knew that all agencies you used met an agreed standard for working with disabled people?
EFD has developed a Recruitment Protocol for use when working with recruitment agencies or outsourcing recruitment services.
EFD identified that there was widespread concern that too many recruitment agencies not only fail to provide suitable disabled candidates, thus excluding much needed talent; but place the employer at legal and reputation risk by failing to meet even their basic obligations in law.
EFD is embarking on a three year campaign to leverage the purchasing power of our members to influence recruitment suppliers to do a better job at providing a diverse selection of disabled applicants during recruitment.
EFD has engaged a number of its Gold members to lead the way with this campaign and help us launch the Recruitment Protocol to all EFD members.
Speakers
- Susan Scott-Parker, CEO, EFD
- Edward Davey, MP Minister for Employment Relations, Consumer and Postal Affairs (invited)
