Telephone tutorial: You and your Occupational Health Provider - fully booked

This is a past event

20th January 2011, 2:00pm - 3:00pm

  • Do your occupational health advisers undertake pre-employment screening on your behalf?
  • Did you know that in most cases the Equality Act prohibits employers, or agents acting on their behalf, asking pre-employment health questions?
  • Are you getting the best advice from your occupational health adviser in order to retain disabled staff and reduce legal risk?

During this one hour event you will learn how to work more effectively with your occupational health providers and have the opportunity to ask our experts questions. Exploring the learning from tribunal cases and looking at the issues you face as Line or Human Resources managers this sharp, concise and tailored session will focus on your relationship with your occupational health provider and how to get the very best from them in the following areas:

  • Recruitment. Our disability experts will explain what the Equality Act says about pre-employment health questionnaires and what your occupational health provider can and cannot legally ask on your behalf.
  • Reasonable adjustments. Discover the correct questions to ask to get the advice you need to make reasonable adjustments.
  • Retention. Understand the role of your occupational health adviser when considering the redeployment and redundancy of disabled employees.
