Full day masterclass: Recruitment masterclass - bringing in fresh talent
In partnership with Clear
29th September 2009, 9:30am - 4.30pm, Central London
Is your organisation equipped to give disabled people the widest range of possible jobs, even in difficult economic times?
Are you demanding and taking best advantage of the opportunities and flexibilities in the supply chain to support you?
In a time of recession it's important to keep your processes barrier free to disabled people. At a time when there is even more competition for every role, you need to ensure that disabled people remain a priority group who have equal access to vacancies in your organisation. At the same time, working more closely with recruitment agencies as well as Access to Work will help you to give the best possible opportunity to disabled candidates.
Disabled people of working age in the UK represent 6.8 million of the total employable population, about 20% of all available talent. For some groups of disabled people the gap is much larger than that and their employment level is unacceptably low.
With the public service agreement (PSA 16) targeted to help more disabled people with mental health conditions and learning disabilities, never has there been a more important time to ensure you stay focused and barrier free for disabled people.
Through a combination of expert speakers and facilitators, we are pleased to be re-running this event. By exploring the recruitment cycle, as well as relationships with recruitment suppliers, this highly interactive and structured masterclass will give you the inspiration and skills to access talented disabled job seekers.
Speakers include:
- Simon Minty, Associate, Employers' Forum on Disability (EFD) and Director sminty Ltd.
- Kate Headley, Director, The Clear Company.
- Personal experience of recruitment practices from Pauline Alexander.
- Rachel Boyd, Global Leadership and Diversity Associate, Goldman Sachs.
