When you are looking to redeploy staff you must ensure that you treat everyone who needs to be redeployed according to their individual needs. When all possible reasonable adjustments have been considered, if an employee is unable to perform the core duties of their existing role for reasons related to a disability, the employer has a duty to consider redeployment.
This tutorial, delivered by Bela Gor (Head of Legal Policy, EFD) will cover the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and case law relating to transferring disabled employees to more suitable alternative jobs, how to manage the redeployment process and best practice advice on how to manage the expectations and concerns of all staff.
Who should attend?
HR professionals, diversity and disability practitioners.
