Telephone tutorial: What is reasonable? Reasonable adjustments in the recruitment and retention of your staff

This is a past event

2nd December 2008, 3:00pm - 4.00pm

The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) requires employers to make adjustments in the workplace, both to the physical environment and working arrangements, if they make it difficult for a disabled person to do their job. But what is 'reasonable'?

Whether you change a sickness absence policy, a flexible working agreement or an adaptation to a workstation, an adjustment is anything that you do to make it easier for an employee to continue working for you.

This Telephone Tutorial will provide you with an understanding of what is reasonable as an adjustment for an employee and your obligations under the DDA. The session will be led by Bela Gor, EFD's Head of legal policy.
