Telephone Tutorial: Reasonable adjustments for people with dyslexia
26th June 2008, 3:30pm - 4:30pm, Past event
Access valuable training from the convenience of your desk and minimise disruption to your working day by taking part in an EFD telephone tutorial. We will make sure that you have all the correct materials beforehand; all you need is access to a telephone.
You will be given the opportunity to ask questions prior to and during the presentation. Alternative arrangements can be made for delegates with specific requirements.
The tutorial will help you to recognise what reasonable adjustments can be made to ensure that the recruitment and retention of your staff are barrier free to people with dyslexia. It will use commonly asked questions to our Disability Directions information service and will provide practical solutions and a best practice approach to dyslexia.

Rebecca Auty, reasonable adjustment manager, Highways Agency."The telephone tutorial was a great idea. I think it worked well and it was particularly useful being able to hear questions from other members. It makes you realise that there are a lot of people asking the same thing as you and maybe your questions aren't so silly after all!"
