Introducing E-Check

In direct response to feedback from our members concerned about their ability to get their ICT right for disabled people, we have introduced a brand new complimentary member benefit, E-check.

E-check is a short, one-off expert accessibility and usability health check worth £350 that gives you an indication of whether disabled people might experience difficulties in using your websites.  Freeney Williams Ltd logo

E-check is a first step in a proactive approach to accessibility. Other areas that you may wish to consider include:  publishing clear accessibility standards and guidance for developers and arranging user testing with groups of disabled people. We encourage you to share your intention to commission an E-check report, with your IT leads and disability or accessibility champions. This will help ensure a joined up approach to improving the accessibility of your ICT products and services.

We are offering E-check in partnership with EFD Associate, Rick Williams.  Freeney Williams Ltd is unique in offering: combined technical understanding of what makes a fully accessible website, access to a panel of disabled users who will test whether your website is easy to use, expertise in disability legislation and best practice in developing accessibility policies and procedures.

How does E-check work?

In just a few days you'll be able to get a free one-off accessibility and usability health check on your website or intranet:

  1. Send your enquiry by e-mail to e-check@staging.efd.org.uk
  2. The e-check team will contact you to confirm estimated timescales and the information we require to get started.
  3. We'll keep you informed throughout the process and aim to complete and return your E-check within five working days.
  4. Depending upon the results of your health-check we will provide ongoing support and guidance.
